In 2020, inspired by the effects of the Covid-19 Global Pandemic, TRANET-Africa initiated a strategy to address some of the pressing problems civil society organisations face in addressing social justice and supporting social justice defenders/ human rights defenders in Africa. Since then, TRANET-Afrca has been piloting the grants programme dubbed the TRANET- Action Fund (TAF); The grants programme aims at giving small and medium scale grants in the following categories
